The Great White Egret grace in nature becomes apparent during mating season displays it plumage to attract females after he builds a nest as well, great egret, great egrets, male great white egret, snowy egret, great white heron, spring, shorebirds, white birds, white feathers, Often confused with the Snowy Egret, the Great White Egret lores turn lime green during breeding season. The Great White Egret is the largest with a height 36-40 inches and a wingspan 50 inches.
Photographed in The Audubon Swamp Garden on sixty acres of black-water cypress and tupelo swamp on South Carolina's Magnolia Plantation. He was a perfect model who kept posing for the ladies and me!
