The Biltmore's iconic Bass Pond Bridge during summer. Biltmore red brick bridge was the second such bridge built on the property. The first is on a private road on the property and only used by workers and family.
The bridge is seen in the opening scenes of The Last of the Mohicans. Madeleine Stowe and Jodhi May characters are seen driving over a bridge heading to join their father. Much of the move is film here in Western North Carolina.
