Juvenile Green Heron
This Juvenile Green Heron was hopping from dead tree twigs siting on top of the duckweed, finding a great place to hunt for fish, insects and amphibians.

Green Herons live around wooded ponds, marshes, rivers, reservoirs, and estuaries. Here the Green Heron was found hanging out at Cypress Gardens in South Carolina among the baby alligators today.
