Miles is Greenville's Zoo resident male Masai Giraffe and has fathered four offspring from Autumn the zoo's female. Miles loves sticking his tongue out at the visitors to his enclosure.
Greenville Zoo home to four Masai giraffes: Autumn (female), Miles (male)
female calf, Kiden, who was born January 31, 2018, and unnamed baby born July 30, 2019. She gave birth to her first calf, Kiko, in Oct. 2012. Kiko now lives at the Toronto Zoo. Tatu in Feb. 2016. Tatu was later transferred to the Lehigh Valley Zoo.
"A giraffe's tongue is 18 to 20 inches long and blue-black in color.
Giraffes can moo, hiss, roar, and whistle.
Giraffes enjoy chewing on long pieces of grass."
