Description
Mingus Mill In The Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Mingus Mill is located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park National Park and a favorite with visitors. The grist mill is open during the summer months reopening in late Spring time.
Mingus Grist Mill built in 1886 was powered by a water turbine, instead of a water wheel. The mill is located just a short drive into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park from the Oconaluftee Village as you enter the park from Cherokee North Carolina. Stop by and see how the mill works!
My husband Frank G Montoya was a budding photographer before Lung Cancer on April 17, 2017 took his amazing life. Frank was a gentle soul who loved life! I hope you will fall in love with his photographs as much as I do!
