Description
Rainbow trout was introduced to the mountian streams of Western North Carolina due to the decline of the brook trout. They are native to the Pacific drainages of western North America, and Asia.
They tend to handout in faster water, swift currents of rivers, but can be found on ponds, and lakes, They are predators that will eat everything they can get their mouths on.

Delightful colours - the gold pink and green combine so well, especially with the ripples of light and the refraction. Great capture, Carol! V#17
