Description
The End Of Sunglow Pier in Daytona Beach Shore, Florida
Most sunrises of Sunglow Pier usually takes place on land, but I love the tight fishing space at the end of the pier lending itself for a silhouette, not only the fisherman but the birds perched on the wash station.
Sunglow Pier is a privately owned pier, with a friendly atmosphere.
Hurricane Matthew wiped out the once longest pier, now the shortest. The Crabby Joe's Deck & Grill, gift shop and this small tight section only survived the hurricane. I was glad to have eaten there right after taking the shot. Great breakfast, and friendly staff!
On September 28, 2022 Hurricane Ian's take-down more than 200 feet of the Sunglow Pier right at the restaurant. The owners are rebuilding an even smaller pier extending from the restaurant it look's like.
