Downtown Asheville city at the corner of Haywood St. and Patton Ave. across for the town square where on Friday summer night people get together and play drums. Asheville is a tourist destinations for the Smoky Mountains, Biltmore Estate, and it beer. Listed as one of the weirdest city in America.
The Asheville City building is a colorful, massive and eclectic Art Deco style by Douglas D. Ellington. Many buildings throughout downtown are in this style and well as Neo-Georgian.

Great artwork, Carol! I’ve been to Asheville and this truly captures the spirit of their amazing downtown. My cousin. moved down here 20+ years ago when things were just starting to boom and the downtown was beginning to come alive, even then! L/F.
