Summer's hot days, gorgeous blue sky at the Hotel Alcazar, commissioned by Henry M. Flagler is now home to the Lightner Museum. Henry Flagler wanted somewhere for his wealthy tourists who were traveling south on his Florida East Coast Railway for the winter to stay.
Later, Chicago publisher Otto C. Lightner purchased the building to house his extensive collection of Victorian Era pieces in 1947 and turned it over to the city of St. Augustine. The museum houses antiquities, mostly American Gilded Age art pieces.
My photography has become an evolution of melding images into art and allowing my artistic side to fly. Each image has its own life and story to tell. So come explore with me the world of art through my photography. I was born and grew up in Miami Florida loving nature. In 2007, I took up a small digital camera while traveling North America with my husband Frank, our dog Gwen, and our cat Psycho. We finally settled in Western North Carolina loving the mountains.
