Description
Moore Cove Waterfall North Carolina
Moore Cove waterfall is located in Pisgah National Forest in Transylvania county in Western North Carolina just past Looking Glass Fall. Parking is on the right before you drive over the stone bridge. There is not a lot of parking spaces and Moore Cove is a popular short hike to the waterfall. The hike is 1.4 miles out and back easy hike. It is a great hike for the whole family as you will traverse over wooden bridges, steps ending at the 50 foot waterfall.
Moore Cove Falls also offers an opportunity to walk behind a waterfall. Just be careful as the rocks wet and slippery. Remember to keep an eye on the kids and like any waterfall it can be dangerous. Warning, I have seen visitors young and sitting under the waterfall when the flow is low but remember rocks and debris can fall from above the waterfall as well.

Moore Cove Falls offers a rare opportunity to walk behind a waterfall. Rocks here are wet and deceivingly slippery. If you decide to venture behind the falls, be extra cautious and keep a close eye on young children.
