Description
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in America, as well as one of the most visited National Parks in the country. Today the park opened for several hours allowing visitors to pass through its majestic mountains. When the road opens connecting Cherokee, NC with Gatlinburg, Tennessee during winter you will see and experience winters beauty that few will ever see, because later that day the pass might be closed due to a snow storm with wind speeds at seventy miles per hour.
View from the Kephart Prong trail bridge over the Oconaluftee River.
