Description
American White Ibis Walking
The American White Ibis is a funny looking bird with it's red bill and legs, to light blue eyes. Often found in the grass areas digging for insects, and well as fishing for prey along the shoreline. They can be found from coastal North Carolina down to Florida and the Gulf coast states. The American white ibis can be found throughout the enter state of Florida.
Here an American white ibis is waiting for a handout from fisherman, or looking for small fish as the tide goes out in the break pools. Sebastian Inlet is a state park open twenty-four hours a had to fisherman, beach goers, or photographer like me. The abundance of wildlife here is amazing, but remember to bring bug repellent, because the no-see-ums are killers here as well.
